About

Membership

Members of the Outdoors Club have the ability to take full advantage of any of the activities and trips we sponsor. Every semester the club receives a budget from the (SGA) which provides us with the funds to make our activities possible. These activities include:

  • Camping
  • Canoeing
  • Caving
  • Hiking
  • Kayaking
  • Rock Climbing (indoor and outdoor)
  • Other activities

Our trips range from beginner to expert and provide instruction as well as experience. Becoming a member allows for spiritual growth and a stronger appreciation for God’s creation. Most importantly, membership is FREE!

Goals

  • To enjoy and appreciate God's Creation.
  • To bring together fellow outdoor enthusiasts.
  • To develop proficiency in selected outdoor recreational skills, and an awareness of safety when participating.
  • To help our environment and community through acts of service.

Leadership

The officers of the club put a strong emphasis on leadership. Becoming a trip leader is how one initially enters into a formal position within the Outdoors Club. Responsibilities include sending e-mails with trip information, collecting various forms, attending the trip, etc. There are benefits to becoming a trip leader! Throughout the year the club will invest back into you. This is also a great opportunity for you to gain practical experience!
