Rebecca Firstbrook

Assistant Director of Upper-Class Experience & Residence Life Educator for Hess Hall and Special Interest Houses

Rebecca joined the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ family in July 2020.

Rebecca grew up as Third Culture Kid in China and the USA, with honorable mentions in Thailand and Canada. Her love for travel and learning about new cultures led her to attend Houghton College for a undergraduate degrees in Intercultural Studies and Studio Art. She also studied Islamics which connected her with refugee resettlement agencies in Buffalo, NY. During her time at Houghton College, she served as an RA for one year and an Assistant RD for two years. These years serving on a college campus ignited a love for learning about the world, working with college students, and pursuing a deeper relationship with God through community. She completed her Masters in Higher Education at Geneva College where she worked in Student Development with a focus on Diversity and Inclusion. There, she learned and taught about the power of sharing stories, having hard conversations, and celebrating the beautiful, complex world we share. She is excited to be back in Residence Life, living and learning alongside students at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ.

Rebecca finds joy in exploring new places, building relationships, running outside, cooking delicious food, crocheting, watercolors, and really anything that involves great people, fun conversation, happy accidents, and an iced coffee.
