Human Resources

Vice President of Human Resources & Compliance

The Vice President is responsible for the overall management of human resources, university-wide compliance programming, and oversight of the university's legal services. The Vice President also serves as the University's Title IX coordinator. Contact the Vice President regarding employee and supervisory counseling, employee relations issues, performance management, staff training and development, harassment and discrimination complaints and issues regarding compliance.

Director of Human Resources

The Director is responsible for managing the Data, Recruiting and On-boarding Team. This position has overall responsibility for recruitment, video interviewing and hiring of staff and administrative employees as well as temporary staff. This position works closely with and advises hiring managers throughout the recruitment process. This position is responsible for managing the advertising/recruiting of faculty and manages the faculty and administrative employee immigration process as well as the relocation process for newly hired administrators and faculty. This position is available to assist with the coordination and training of certain search committees. This position works to develop and implement intercultural competence education and programming University wide. This position also works with supervisors to develop strategies for addressing employee concerns/issues.

Contact the Director regarding hiring manager’s recruitment questions including assistance with the development of recruitment plans, advertising and placement of position openings, assistance/training with PeopleAdmin ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ’s applicant tracking software as well as questions related to employee concerns/issues. This position serves as the second Human Resources & Compliance authority and resource for campus when the VP for Human Resources & Compliance is unavailable.

Assistant Director of Human Resources

The Assistant Director provides leadership and oversight to the compensation, HRIS, data and payroll functions of HR. Additionally, this position provides primary support for the HR/Payroll information system as well as for designing the structure of the University’s employment data. This position works closely with the VP for HR & Compliance in developing and maintaining compensation reviews, studies, and analyses. This position also oversees the TPA’s administration of the University’s retirement plan.

Human Resources Data Manager

The Human Resources Data Manager is responsible for the salary data administration for all employees.  This position manages the tuition reduction benefit, the annual letters of appointment, the background clearance process for new and existing employees, and the vetting of volunteers and interns.  This position also works with all of our benefit vendors to ensure accurate data content as it relates to employee benefit coverage.

Employee Health & Wellness Coordinator

The Employee Health & Wellness Coordinator is ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ employees’ first point of contact for most benefits questions. This position can provide assistance with health, vision, and dental enrollment, plan details, selecting network providers, resolving claims, etc.  This position manages all employee health-related leaves of absence including maternity/paternity leaves, short-term disability, family medical leave and other general leaves of absence.  In addition, this position oversees workers’ compensation, and information regarding the reporting of on-the-job injuries.  This position chairs the employee safety committee and ensures the University’s compliance with federal, state and local environmental, health and safety regulations by coordinating departmental safety audits, developing compliance plans, and educating employees on safety and compliance measures.

Coordinator for Interpersonal Violence Prevention and Education

The Coordinator for Interpersonal Violence Prevention and Education is responsible for coordinating (as well as evaluating and revising as needed) a comprehensive university-wide violence response and prevention program. Responsibilities include working with the Department of Safety, the Title IX Coordinators, the Grievance Review Board and care teams to develop programs for educating employees, identifying resources for improving existing practices, facilitating prevention activities, and institutionalizing university-wide education programs suited for various constituencies.

In addition, this position works closely with students as a confidential resource and facilitates the intake for grievance processes.

Human Resources Specialist

The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for appraisals and performance feedback as well as managing the Human Resources master calendar and calendar of the VP for Human Resources & Compliance. This position facilitates new employee orientations and oversees other employee recognition and engagement opportunities throughout the year. This position is also responsible for managing verifications of employment for those seeking loans and mortgages.

Human Resources Specialist (Recruitment)

The Human Resources Specialist (Recruitment) is responsible for assisting with recruitment and onboarding tasks, including HR’s social media, and HR data entry. The Specialist coordinates the HR portion of camps and works in conjunction with Dining Services and Campus and Building Services to coordinate the hiring and onboarding of high school workers.  This position also serves as the HR, Payroll, Student Employment and Compliance first point of contact, managing the front desk, greeting visitors and taking calls.

Payroll

Payroll Coordinator

The Payroll Coordinator manages the payroll process and the associated tasks of tax research, tax filings and reporting to ensure compliance. This position currently processes all aspects of the staff and student payrolls. Lastly, this position coordinates payroll-related projects (such as Web-Time Entry) as well as unemployment compensation.

Payroll Processing Technician

The Payroll Processing Technician has the responsibility to prepare and process the administrative/faculty and summer camp payroll. This position also provides support for the summer camp hiring and onboarding process.

Student Employment

Student Employment Coordinator

The Student Employment Coordinator works with departments across campus to coordinate the student employment process. Responsibilities include recruitment/advertising, hiring, onboarding, and concluding student employment, as well as controlling student employment data. This position is available to assist student employment hiring managers with the People Admin system and works closely with the Financial Aid Office as it relates to federal work study employment.

In addition, this position coordinates student employee appreciation and recognition as well as certain trainings for student employees.
