ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ benefits for Pittsburgh Promise Scholars
As a Preferred College Partner of The Pittsburgh Promise, ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ provides the following additional financial aid and robust support services for Promise Scholars who meet ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ’s standard admissions requirements:
For the 2024-25 Academic Year (benefiting the high school graduating Class of 2024):
- ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ provides full-time enrolled Promise Scholars who live on campus with a $5,000 award per year for up to four years.
- This award is calculated outside of the Promise Scholarship and is in addition to any other aid for which the student may be eligible and will be stacked with any additional institutional aid up to the full cost of attendance. Some exceptions could occur where adjustments to the recipient’s financial aid package may be required by federal or state regulation, or institutional policy.

ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ offers a wide range of services to empower students with the resources and care they need to succeed during their university experience and beyond:
- One-on-one academic advising—including the Explore U resources for students still exploring their choice of major
- SOAR Peer mentoring program
- First-year Experience—a network of helpful resources and relationship-building events for new students
- Academic Success Center—providing services such as include academic coaching, accommodation approval for students with disabilities (academic accessibility), academic peer tutoring, and supplemental instruction.

ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ offers a 20% tuition discount to Pittsburgh Promise alumni who are accepted into one of the following ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ online graduate degree (masters/doctorate) or graduate-level certificate programs:
- Business and Leadership
- Nursing
- Music
- Counseling
- Higher Education
- Education
The discount will be applied each term until the student graduates/completes the certificate as long as the student remains in good academic standing. The 20% tuition discount is not stackable with other ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ tuition discount programs.
