Internships
Sociology students often work with the Career and Professional Development Center to get practical, real-world experience in the local area or around the world as part of an off-campus program. Internships range in hours per week and credit load. have included human service addressing rural poverty, Good Works ministry, refugee legal assistance, City of Lancaster, supporting genocide survivors in Rwanda, drama with disabled people in Thailand, and legislative intern at the Pennsylvania State Capitol.
Study Abroad
Nearly all students in the Department of Sociology study abroad, choosing from programs approved by ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ's . Advisors work with students to transfer credits back into the major or meet general education requirements. Favorites include Thailand, Rwanda, Oregon and New Zealand.
