Pre-Physician Assistant
- 1 year general biology
- 1 year A&P
- 1 year general chemistry
- 1 year organic chemistry
- 1 year introductory or general physics / social sciences and humanities.
- Complete the Pre-Physician Assistant curriculum at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ, which must consist of a minimum of 120 semester hours of undergraduate education including the required prerequisites. This agreement is not tied to a particular major and thus the choice of major is up to the student.
- A student may complete the Bachelor’s degree in less than 4 years as long as all requirements of the agreement are met.
- A maximum of one gap year may be taken between graduation from ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ and matriculation to Salus University.
- Transfer students are eligible for this program. The majority of the required courses must be taken at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ.
- International Students are eligible for this program, pending official documentation to study in the United States. Official foreign credential evaluation and English language proficiency exam may be required. Â Students must have an overall GPA of 3.5/4.0 at the time of application.
- A completed application must be to Central Application Service for Physicians Assistants (CASPA). Submit a completed application including results of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) and required letters of evaluation. (50 percentile rankings or higher recommended on the GRE exam).
- A minimum of 300 logged hours of direct patient care experience is required. This may be a volunteer and/or employment position(s). In addition, a minimum of 20 hours of PA shadowing is required. Shadowing PAs in various medical disciplines is recommended.
