Transfer Equivalencies

Transfer credit is credit earned for coursework completed at another institution and applied to meet requirements at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ. Students may transfer graduate coursework from other institutions according to the conditions outlined in the Transfer Credit Policy in the School of GraduateÌýand PofessionalÌýStudies Catalog.

Only credits and courses are eligible for transfer. Grades earned at the original institution are not calculated into the student’s ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ grade point average.

  • When a student applies, they request an official transcript from their former institution for the Graduate Enrollment Office and complete the Transfer Credit Approval form.
  • The Graduate Enrollment Office provides copies of the transcripts to the Program Director.
  • The Program Director notifies the student and the Graduate Registrar's Office how the credits will transfer, and then record is updated.

Transferred credits become part of the student’s program of study and it is the student’s responsibility to work with their advisor to carefully schedule coursework.
