Workshop Description:
ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ's Young Filmmakers Workshop is a summer creative program offering residential and commuter options for young filmmakers entering grades 10-12. The five day filmmaking workshop will offer novice high school age filmmakers an opportunity to learn basic filmmaking principles while developing, filming and editing a short film. Students will work collaboratively to complete scriptwriting prompts and storyboard a short film based on three prearranged setting. Each crew will "act" in the other team's film as they alternate at each setting throughout the week. The final full day will be dedicated to editing the short films and the workshop will conclude with a screening for students and their families in Parmer Cinema.
Workshop Mission:
To enable students to become better filmmakers in a safe and positive environment.
To develop a community of filmmakers that is established during the week and endures beyond the week.
To give students a foretaste of the college experience and college level thinking and work.
