How to start a new club/organization

At ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ we have more than 70 clubs and organization you can join. But you may be interested in starting a club that is not recognized by the university.

The club should fall into at least one of the categories below to be considered:

Academic Interest
Provide support for academic subjects and promote the attainment of academic and professional excellence.

Campus Activities
Strive to provide fun and diverse programs and events that are reflective of the diverse interests and needs of the student body. Through their programs, they entertain, educate, and encourage fellowship and camaraderie among students. 

Cultural
Provide support for students of various ethnic groups during their academic careers and promote cultural understanding.

Faith Related
Provide a means for students to pursue Christian fellowship, teaching, worship, and/or theological exploration.

Honor Societies
Encourage and honor scholarship, service, and leadership achievement. There are two main types of honorary organizations at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ, professional honoraries and leadership/service honoraries. Student organizations are considered an Honor Society if they meet at least one of the two following criteria: (1) their organization is part of a national sanctioning organization or (2) they are sponsored by an academic department at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ. 

Performing & Fine Arts
Promote the enjoyment, creation and/or performance of art and/or music. 

Service & Philanthropy
Provide students with opportunities to volunteer, serve, and raise awareness on-behalf of others.

Sports & Recreation
Provide athletic oriented programs and/or recreational activities. 

Student Government
Represent the student body on important campus issues and allocates funds received through student activity fees.

Student Media
Provide excellent opportunities for professional experience in the areas of broadcasting, news writing, management, editorial, and technical experience.
