Spring 2024

Honors Events: Overview

Honors Events are a series of cultural and academic events that are an integral part of the Honors Program curriculum. Events offer an array of presentations, lectures, films, theater, musical opportunities, field trips, etc.

Honors Events: Requirements

All Honors Program participants are required to attend two Honors events each semester they are enrolled as a full-time student on the main campus in Mechanicsburg. Thus, students who graduate after four years and who stay on campus the whole time will end up attending eight semesters of Honors events by the time they graduate. Some students, however, will not end up taking eight semesters of Honors events – those who graduate early, those who study abroad, and those in an accelerated program that takes them to the Winding Hill campus. Students in these situations should not be alarmed by the default setting of eight semester of events continuing to appear for a time on their DegreeWorks. This will be adjusted soon after early graduation takes place or after the conclusion of a semester’s study abroad or after the completion of an accelerated program.
