Here at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ we have a long and proud history with sustainability and environmental awareness. It all began in the 1970's when the students took a week-long course—"Man and His Environmental Problems"—that explored ecology and environmentalism. This kickstarted the growth of and interest in sustainability on campus. In less than 40 years, what was an environmental concern group paved the way to becoming an established major in its own right!
Today, the Office of Sustainability is still a growing presence on campus. The term concept of sustainability has been gaining more attention than ever across all academic departments as it continues to gain more traction amongst both students and faculty alike.
