ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ has an excellent record of preparing students for lives of service and leadership in the healthcare professions. Students planning to enter a healthcare profession, often major in biology, molecular biology, chemistry or biochemistry. However, with careful academic planning, some students major in other disciplines and concurrently complete the courses required for admission to their chosen graduate program.
Pre-health students are served by both an academic major advisor and a health professions advisor. Faculty academic advisors help students plan their course work to meet graduation requirements in their major discipline. In a complementary manner, the Coordinator of Pre-Health Professions Advising works closely with students and their academic advisors to ensure that they complete the additional courses required by their graduate health program.
