Powerhouse

At 8:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings, students arrive at Hostetter Chapel eagerly anticipating the time of corporate worship and reflection known as Powerhouse. Though it bears no attendance requirement, Powerhouse never fails to fill the Chapel with students ready to worship God.

Powerhouse began in the early 1990s as a small student-led Bible study that met in Hostetter Chapel. Today, Powerhouse is still student-initiated and student-led but has grown to include a team of worship leaders who have devoted their talents to honoring and responding to God through music.

These leaders often connect with the co-curricular Worship Community and serve under the leadership of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Campus Ministries, providing even more opportunities to grow in leadership, relationships and Christian faith. in addition, Powerhouse leaders invest directly in one another, creating a spirit of honesty and love that significantly contributes to their worship leadership together.

Ultimately, Powerhouse is more than just another weekly event that students on campus (and guests from off-campus) add to their schedules. It is a diverse community of worshipers who come together to praise and worship God each week through shared music and prayer.
