Human Performance Lab

The Department of Applied Health Science at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ has a well-equipped Human Performance Lab located in the Jordan/Kline Science Center.  The laboratory is a state of the facility that houses the laboratory sessions for Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology and Research Methods.  In addition, the lab serves as a focal point for the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Undergraduate Research initiative and is used by several groups of students to conduct original research that is presented/published on a regional, national, or international level.  Students learn to calibrate, use, and modify the equipment for their specific needs through various classes or research projects.

The Human Performance Lab contains:

  • 10 Monarch cycle ergometers for fitness testing
  • 2 Monarch cycle ergometers for testing power output

  • Team Polar Heart Rate monitor system
  • AMTI Accupower forceplate
  • AMTI Accusway forceplate
  • Biodex Balance System
  • Woodway Curve treadmill – speed training
