Since graduating from ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ, Tabita has held several positions, utilizing both her major in Human Development and Family Science as well as her minor in Spanish. Tabita worked as a Consultant and Translator for 'It Takes A Village', providing bi-lingual services to Spanish speaking families in need of social services, and as a Permancy Caseworker for Dauphin County, assisting families in developing intervention and prevention plans. Tabita has also completed a Master's program in Social Work at Widener University and has received training in child welfare at the University of Pittsburgh.
Tabita has two roles: one as a Family Engagement Meetings Coordinator and Facilitator and the other as a Cultural Celebration Task Force Member. The first role involves Tabita coordinating and facilitating family group conferences, safety plan meetings, pre-court meetings, blended perspective meetings as well as family engagement meetings to assist families in developing solution focused plans. Her second role involves her coordinating events for Dauphin County such as Black History Month, Hispanic Celebration Month, and Dauphin County Cultural Fest.
