Becky’s Advice
“Guard your heart! Prioritize Jesus, healthy
community, and self-care above your work. Don't let your job become your
primary source of identity. It is an easy thing to slip into,
especially your first few years in the workplace when you are
overwhelmed by new experiences and pressure to perform. Resist the
temptation measure your worth by what you accomplish or by what others
think of you. Instead, look to Jesus and His Word; who does He say you
are? Rest in that eternal Truth and the rest will fall in place. Of
course, this is much more easily said than done. I still need the daily
reminder as well!”
