Profile

Professor Reeve is originally from the Philadelphia area, but spent most of her formative years in Richmond, Virginia. She enjoys traveling, reading, kayaking, and cheering for the Baltimore Orioles. After completing her Ph. D. in bioorganic chemistry at the Johns Hopkins University, she was a National Research Council post-doctoral fellow in medicinal chemistry at the U.S. Army Edgewood Research and Development Center. She spent one year teaching at Franklin and Marshall College and one year at Bucknell University before spending eleven years back in Virginia at Lynchburg College (now University of Lynchburg.) In 2007, she moved to ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ College. She obtained further training in medicinal chemistry through sabbatical leaves in the laboratory of Kevin Reynolds at the Institute for Structural Biology and Drug Design at the Medical College of Virginia and in the laboratory of Damien Thévenin at Lehigh University. She maintains a collaboration with Dr. Thévenin on her current research project, which is focused on designing small molecule inhibitors for an enzyme involved in insulin signaling.
